Dr. Vicki Wong has a range of experience in education at both school and district levels, from beginning as an elementary school teacher for grades 1–6 to her current role as principal of a Title 1 school in Southern California.
Dr. Wong earned her master’s degree in education-administration from Concordia University and her doctorate in leadership-educational psychology from the University of Southern California (USC).
At USC, Dr. Wong studied learning and motivation theories, psychology, child development and neurosciences. As a district administrator, Dr. Wong provided professional development for teachers in TK–12, overseeing a multitiered system of supports (MTSS) grant, extended learning programs, and new teacher training programs. A few of her most notable accomplishments include receiving the National Blue Ribbon School Award in 2021 and being honored as a California Distinguished School in 2023.
