Michelle Finn, MS, is a professional development associate at Marzano Resources who has been working since 2004 to design and implement competency-based, personalized learning systems, both as a practitioner in the classroom and as a trainer and coach for schools and districts across the country. Finn’s classroom experience spans K–10. Her professional development and coaching work have focused on a number of key elements, such as building student agency, developing personalized strategic implementation plans, implementing standards-based instruction and grading practices, and various focus areas within The New Art and Science of Teaching.
Finn earned a bachelor’s in elementary education from the University of Maine at Orono and a master’s in educational leadership from St. Joseph’s College. She is the coauthor of A Handbook for Personalized Competency-Based Education and Scheduling for Personalized Competency-Based Education.
